about
This is the second track we've recorded with Chris - he came up with the initial bass riff and he contributed more growls than cleans in this one compared to our other beast of a track, 'Storm Chaser', from 2017.
Wrote and recorded in a converted barn in Upper Coll on the Isle of Lewis in October 2018.

LYRICS
Cast out from the pack
Embrace the freedom, I won't look back
Loyal only to myself
I'll forge my own path
Go
My companions are the darkness and cold
You watch me return and I'll watch you fold
Excluded, left to fight alone
Become the fear and step into the unknown
Scratching at the scars
The tooth and claw dug in so deep
The infection's spread into my mind
And it won't let me sleep
The wounds inflicted
Continue to bleed
Adrenaline is coursing (it's poison)
But it's all I ever need
All I ever need
My companions are the darkness and cold
You watch me return and I'll watch you fold
Excluded, left to fight alone
Become the fear and step into the unknown
Unrelenting, I will pursue you
Hellbent on retribution, the only solution
This lone wolf will tear you apart
With a glimmer in my eye, sharpened teeth
And a dark black heart
With a glimmer in my eye, sharpened teeth
And a dark black heart
My companions are the darkness and cold
You watch me return and I'll watch you fold
Excluded, left to fight alone
Become the fear and step into the unknown
You throw your sticks and stones
But I will break your bones
